Beauty I AM is a non-profit organization created to be a support system for artists working in various forms in different areas of the entertainment industry. We offer support groups for like-minded people to come together to discuss their craft and one-on-one counseling in the areas of nutrition and personal training. All of these are designed to help one develop and maintain a well-balanced mind, body, and spirit to enable them to have a greater chance of withstanding the pressures of pursuing a career in the entertainment business.

All artists know it is not easy to always be on display for everyone to see and critique. Artists have the continual task of bearing their soul when they step out in front of an audience that has the freedom to cast judgment on who they are, where they have been and what they have presented after living life thus far.  Oftentimes, artists suppress emotions like depression, anger, panic, anxiety and loneliness simply for the sake of “getting their name out there.”   All of these suppressed emotions are toxic, and only lead to further discouragement.

Unfortunately, the pressure to perform in Hollywood takes its toll on people physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Far too many talented artists have walked away from their calling simply because the high demands of the business became too much for them to bear. These demands provoke a necessity for a strong support system that reinforces the artist’s worth, value, and dreams of a successful career.

Ralph Winters, esteemed movie producer of X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and Star Trek mentioned in a recent seminar that to deal with the feelings of failure that everyone will inevitably face in Hollywood, you must have a strong support system set around you.  His advice was to have people to lean on not only when times are hard, but also times of success. This support system will serve as a continual reminder of who you are.

Finding a support group will help your overall emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.  When you’re frustrated and ready to give up, someone will always be there to encourage you and help you finish the course of doing what you know you were created to do.  You don’t have to do it alone. Why not get connected?

Beauty I AM wants to help you build that support system that believes in you as an artist!

Once a month, we host an artist support group for this exact purpose. In this group you can meet with other artist who can relate to the same issues you are faced with every day. Beauty I AM will spend time building you back up and speaking life into any areas that feel dead. We also have a weekly hike that is a great time to just connect with people.
